We hope that you’ve enjoyed the Broken Brain docu-series. Discovering Functional Medicine, and the idea that the body and brain are one sophisticated interlocking system, has been pivotal on my own journey toward better health. I hope that you’ve discovered that there is no real separation between your brain and your body. What you do to your body, you do to your brain and vice versa.
Even though I believe that medication will not solve the root cause of most illnesses, medications are required in many situations. Medication can be lifesaving. Please do not stop, adjust, or modify your dose of any prescribed medications without the direct supervision of your healthcare practitioner.
I also want to let you know that even a diet change to eating more whole, real foods can be beneficial for anyone. The steps outlined in this docu-series are not to be implemented by anyone under the age for 18, or by anyone who is dealing with a chronic illness, without the approval of a doctor.
Also, if you are pregnant or actively trying to conceive, please do not follow the steps outlined in the docu-series.
This docu-series dives deep into subjects such as depression and anxiety, and although I know firsthand how life-changing the advice of our experts can be, depression and anxiety should not be taken lightly.
